Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Year End Audit supporting the external Auditors
  • Support the preparation of Management Accounts for all entities (working day 5) - including Profit & Loss, cashflow and balance sheet reporting.
  • Develop management information and KPIs
  • Ensure that financial controls are in place, maintained and developed.
  • Contribute to improving current processes and systems
  • Play a key role in influencing commercial decision-making and strategy for the Build-to Rent and Residential business.
  • Prepare the monthly results and KPIs for Board pack reporting.
  • Be responsible for all intercompany recharges ensuring that all costs are recorded and accounted for in the correct entity
  • Prepare monthly journals, accruals, prepayments, deferred income, accrued income, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Coordinate financial reporting for Build-to Rent and Residential with the aim of monitoring and improving the financial performance of these services against their business plans.
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns
  • Support the Financial Controller and ELT/SMT with any ad hoc reporting

Qualifications required:
* CIMA/ACCA/AAT/QBE

What are we looking for?

* Flexible with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
* Good time management and organisation skills.
* Able to work on own initiative and manage own workload to strict deadlines.
* Practical experience in core accounting

* Experience producing management accounts to a high standard in a timely manner
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organisation skills.
* Highly enthusiastic and looking to develop and progress in the role
* Great communication skills, particularly in terms of presenting financial information to non-finance people, both verbally and in writing.
* IT literate, with particular competence in spreadsheets/Excel (advanced) and finance systems.
