Marks Sattin have been approached by a Financial Services firm to find a Portfolio Manager to provide clarity and a consice view of programme activity across the organisation (both tactical and strategic programmes). This is a 6 month role (initially) and can sit outside IR35. The role is based in Northampton and you will be required onsite for 2/3 days per week.

Duties will be varied but likely to include:

- maintain and manage timelines and resource deployment / recruitment across the book off work (with both internal and external parties)

- analyse resource and time schedules and keeping tabs on bottle necks / pinch points and resoving as required

- develop and maintain working relationshils with business leads to create a view of the portfolio of change

- ensure active risk management through recommending changes to exisiting or new programme plans

- regular monitoring and reporting to senior management on the status and development of the programme portfolio

  • An individual with experience of change programmes in a fast-paced, complex, financial services environment.
  • Ideally a background in payment processing, especially cheque processing.
  • Demonstrable analytical skills with a clear understanding of people and technical resource planning over time.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of colleagues in complex areas of the business and the ability to create a coordinated view without creating conflict or division.
  • Personal resilience, able to handle rejection or apathy and remain calm and positive throughout.

Required experience:

- experience of working as a PMO Manager / Porftolio Manager in a fast paced, complex financial services environment

- analyticalskills with a clear understanding of people and technical resource planning

- excellent stakeholder management skills and a demonstrable experience of working across many lines of business

- ideal background in payment processing
