A medium sized but well known European Banking Group seeks an experienced Product Controller and IPV specialist for a newly created role in their global markets division. The ideal candidate will also have solid knowledge of most derivative products. The desk is experiencing rapid growth and as such the level of this hire can be flexible and accommodate people from junior AVP through to VP level.

Key responsibilities:
- Daily reporting and analysis of P/L and risk analytics
- Preparing commentary on daily and monthly P/L for senior management
- Creation of daily and weekly KPI's for the front office and finance team
- Liaising very closely with various departments within the bank to develop and maintain productive relationships.
- Support the launching and operations of new products and activities
- Providing support and analysis to the trading desks on all trade related matters
- Working closely with the traders to better understand their product strategies and booking methodologies
- Assist and handle a variety of ad-hoc projects and requests
Your background is likely to be:
- Excellent academics - Masters degree or higher or formal qualifications - CA, ACA, CFA or equivalent
- A solid understanding of pricing models; advanced Excel and/or SQL
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- Driven to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Team player - able to build and maintain relationships across various departments
- Proactive individual prone to using your initiative
