Purpose of Position
-The purpose of the role is to work in the Transitions Project team.
-The Transitions project team are a team of four members, who support and work with the Client Implementation Team and the BAU Transition Teams.
Purpose of Department
-The Transitions Department exists to provide
-On-boarding of new funds due to acquisitions by our clients
-Carrying out any large projects on the back of acquisitions
-Taking on work that falls outsize of BAU due to either it being non standard, or due to the size/complexity of the transition event
-Testing of processes/requirements for any new service/products
-Developing the transition tools to enhance performance, and mitigate risk

-Head of Transition
Liaises with
Internal:
-All team within Middle Office including the accounts and NAV teams
-Auditors
-Compliance
External:
-Clients
-Custodians
-Auditors
-Trustees
Key Responsibilities
-Timely, accurate execution of all transition events per plan
-Setting up new funds on HiPort
-Updating HiPort - loading/removing assets
-Reconciliation of data to primary source
-Timely distribution of data to business team
-Liaising with internal project teams and management
-Resolving and cash, stock breaks in a timely manner
-Attending all conference calls and meeting as required
Technical Experience
Required:
-Transitions experience
-Market knowledge of investment vehicles, and asset types
-Understanding of custody
-Good working knowledge of Investment Accounting systems
Desirable:
-Knowledge of fund accounting/NAV production
-Projects involving funs/assets
-Experience of HiPortfolio
Competencies
-Good technical understanding of how all assets work
-Good mathematical skills
-Understanding of project planning and execution
-Must be a good team player, but also able to work using own initiative
