Location: Walsall, West Midlands

Salary: £24k - £30k

Contract: Full Time, Permanent



A great opportunity to join a busy, fast paced construction business. To be able to be a key member in the AP team, knowledge of CIS returns is important and relevant construction experience. To be able other members of the team where they may lean on.

Main Duties of an Accounts Payable Specialist:

• Processing Invoices, application and retention processing
• Bank Reconciliations
• Preparation/carrying out payments in line with CIS (Construction Industry Scheme)
• VAT Returns
• Carrying out KPIs/reporting where required
• Review of invoices prior to payments
• Uploading payments to bank
• CIS analysis / Review for return
• Training of CIS and subcon ledger within the department
• IR35 Reviews - identifying subcontractors who aren't IR35 compliant.
• Resolving queries
• Month End closes
• Cover during absences.

Key experiences:

• Experience in similar role
• Knowledge of CIS returns
• VAT Return knowledge
• Experienced processing high volumes of invoices
• Experienced within the construction industry (desirable)
• Great communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines.
