Assistant Accountant - London

A Consumer Retail business are seeking an Assistant Accountant on an on-going contract starting as soon as possible for their London based office. In this position you will be offering support to the Management Accountant with the below areas along with support on month end so a real chance to get further exposure across the business. If you have prior experience within the retail space or have you the software Open Accounts, they would find these very desirable skill sets.

Responsibilities:

Run interface (daily)
Downloading the cashbooks and updating payments and receipts (daily)
Posting the cashbooks (daily)
Accounts receivable
- Confirmation of receipts to wholesale (daily)
- Chase payments
- Aged debt report (weekly)
All bank reconciliations
- Currency (weekly)
- GBP (monthly)
Prepayments/Intercompany (monthly)
Compliance
- EU VAT returns (quarterly)
- EC Sales list/Intrastats (monthly)
Sales Tax (US/AU/NZ) (posting monthly/return quarterly)
