Marks Sattin are currently working with a Sheffield City Centre based global Law firm to assist them in finding an Assistant Management Accountant.

The business offers a hybrid working model (50/50), they will be offering study support and the opportunity to join a sizeable Management Accounts team that will support you in your career.

Responsibilities;

• Preparation of UK/global month end provisions and posting of month end journals
• Preparation of various monthly management reports including global director reports, headcount reports, OMP, property and workplace reports and other monthly reports
• Investigation of UK/global monthly variances for your area of responsibly
• Reconciliation of balance sheet/inter-company accounts, investigation into variances and resolution as required
• Assisting the management accountants in producing audit schedules and statutory accounts
• Liaising with the external auditors for your area of responsibility in the annual audit process, ensuring that statutory reporting requirements are met
• Preparation of information/reporting for statutory/regulatory purposes e.g. VAT, IPT, Intrastats, National statistics, financial statements
• Be a point of contact in central finance for your area of responsibility including responding to queries and information requests

• Advanced excel skills
• Self-motivated, logical and organised approach to work
• Keen eye for detail
• Agile & proactive
• Part qualified accountant

Desirable:

• Proven track record in data manipulation, with experience in creation of reports.
• Experience of working with BI software such as SAP Business Intelligence solutions
• A working understanding of databases.
