Start your job searchRenowned UK asset manager and stock broker seeks the talents of an experienced senior CASS individual for a newly created role heading up a small team. With a proud history of private client wealth management and considerable assets under management, the firm are a well known organisation with a down to earth culture, excellent work life balance and sociable and outgoing Finance & Operations team.
This is a newly created role with responsibilities as follows:
- Management of the CASS team (3 people) including oversight for all cash and asset reconciliations.
- Ensure Client Money and Asset Returns (CMAR) are accurate and comply with any new rules or guidance.
- Maintenance and review of all policy and procedure documents related to CASS.
- Assist with the co-ordination of the annual external CASS audit. Also support internal audit with CASS testing on a periodic basis.
- Assist with bank or custodian account opening and closing process and associated due diligence requirements.
- Ensure the CASS Resolution Pack remain complete and fit for purpose.
- Assist CF10a in ensuring appropriate training for CASS staff.
- Prepare CASS management information for CF10a to report into the monthly board meeting.
- Answering requests for information from Compliance to ensure the CASS Compliance Monitoring Program (CMP) testing can be conducted and that any findings are resolved in a timely basis.
- Ensure CASS breaches are appropriately recorded, reported and escalated to the CF10a and root cause analysis is conducted to prevent future recurrence.
- Ad hoc project work as required.
Your background is likely to be:
- Significant operational experience within a similar CASS role in the asset management, wealth management or stockbroking sector.
- A sound working knowledge of FCA Client Asset (CASS) rules.
- Preferably degree educated or equivalent.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills; able to build up proactive working relationships with stakeholders across back, middle and front office.
- Happy to roll your sleeves up and improve what's currently in place.
This is an urgent hire with salary c£60-70,000 base plus benefits and bonus.
