Collateral Management Specialist

A client of mine is currently looking for a strong senior candidate to come and join their Collateral team in an expanding and busy department within the funds industry. This role will allow the candidate to build an excellent career within the industry and would be a challenging and diverse position. Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the open collateral operations to ensure key process indicators in relation to data collection, exposure calculation, margin calls, dispute resolution, substitutions, collateral settlement, reconciliation and reporting are met.
• Developing systems and procedures to improve process efficiency and establish best practice. Reviewing current processes and developing effective solutions so as to eliminate manual intervention where possible.
• Act as a driver for continued process improvement while maintaining high standards of work.
• Producing and enhancing management information / reporting for internal and external users.
• Managing the "Managers Control Assessment" for the team, implement corrective action plans for errors.
• Preparing the team for various audit/risk, continuity of business, due diligence and regulatory reviews.
• Ensuring any client escalations are dealt with in a timely manner.
• Working with the business managers to ensure that operational capability can fully complement the business strategy.
• Working with the Section Manager to ensure goals are met.

The ideal candidate will have experience within;

• A previous collateral management role
• Exposure to the funds / financial services industry
• Strong within the area of building client relationships
• People management experience
• Project and business expansion exposure
