Job Title: Commercial Finance Manager
Location: Leeds, on-site parking
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 plus package
Hours: Permanent, Full-time
Model: Hybrid, 3 days in the office

Overview

Reporting to the Head of Finance and working with the CFO and wider Exec Team, you will lead and drive the Commercial Finance agenda and provide accurate, timely and relevant financial information to facilitate the achievement of business goals and targets.

You will be a pivotal in supporting/partnering the commercial analysis of ad hoc and short-term projects, through to long-term business forecasting and planning.

Requirements

  • Professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with post qualified experience
  • Experience with Power BI or similar analytical tool
  • Strong excel modelling capability
  • Technical, commercial and management accounting experience
  • Commercially focused with a high level of business acumen, as well as the ability to digest and interpret large amounts of financial information
  • Excellent communication, analytical and presentation skills
  • Able to lead and develop a team
  • Self-motivated, professional and positive approach
  • Strong in building relationships and able to communicate and challenge at all levels
  • Team player with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Able to challenge the status quo and thinking out of the box

Key Responsibilities

  • Line management of Commercial Finance Business Partner and help to develop wider accounting team
  • Develop the commercial reporting for the Finance Function, Optimisation Team and wider business
  • Lead and deliver on a company-wide data analytics solutions
  • Create financial models (where relevant) to predict growth and forecast performance
  • Responsible for short-term 13-week rolling cash flow forecasts
  • Assisting the Operations and Sales teams with developing reporting and KPIs
  • Business partnering with Operations to support wage efficiency and drive cost savings
  • Drive continuous improvement and efficiencies to finance and business processes
  • Review of monthly P&Ls, profitability and margins, making recommendations for improvements
  • Provide meaningful and insightful MI to assist the business with relevant decision making to drive business performance
  • Highlight key trends, opportunities and possible threats to the business and suggest/implement new procedures
  • Develop robust approaches to manage investment cases, ROI, Capex spend and benefits
  • Develop key business initiatives to drive strategy, efficiencies and profits
