Depositary analyst role working with private equity and real estate fund managers. With a business who prides themselves on creating truly collaborative, long-term relationships, adapting, and growing with their clients.

This role is perfect if you have around 6-12 months audit, admin, legal or accounting experience and want to try something new!

This will give you a strong foundation of knowledge in finance, compliance, reg reporting, plus client facing exposure, setting yourself up for a strong career in the financial services industry.

The company has a strong emphasis on developing and training their staff, this is proven in the length of tenure within the business.

They will provide support towards a qualification including but not limited to; CAIA, CISI, ACCA etc.

Responsibilities of Depositary Analyst:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients which includes real estate, private equity, venture, and debt funds captured under AIFMD
  • Provide strong communication and client relationship management skills, both internally and externally
  • Assist in onboarding of clients including face to face client meetings, the provision of information and performing risk assessments
  • Verify ownership of all fund assets and maintain an up to data asset register
  • Undertake daily cash flow monitoring across all fund level bank accounts which includes reconciliations, risk based in depth reviews and testing
  • Ongoing monitoring of the fund rules and fund manager policy and procedures
  • Carry out transactional testing which may include subscriptions, capital calls, share issues, distributions, dividends, acquisitions, exits, and various others
  • Review of the funds NAV and valuations
  • Produce periodic depositary reports for each client and assist in the presentation of these either by an on-site visit or video call

Requirements of Depositary Analyst:

  • 6-12 months experience in a relevant or similar role. (accounting, audit, compliance, data, admin, finance)
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent client facing skills.
  • Ability to problem solve, with an inquisitive mind, and capable of being a 'trouble-shooter'.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in either audit or depositary as well as private equity and/or real estate funds is hugely advantageous
