Marks Sattin are delighted to be supporting our client - an ambitious and reputable professional services firm in seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Director/Partner level candidate to join their organisation, in playing a key role in their buy, and build/roll up M&A strategy in the accountancy services space in London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a succession solution for the M&A target firms identified. This may involve either taking the main leadership role of specific firms the firm acquire or by being employed at the buying entity level to manage the acquired firms. The primary objective is to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of operations while maximizing value and growth potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive succession plan for the M&A target firms, ensuring a seamless transition of leadership and management.
  • Assess the needs and requirements of each acquired firm, identifying areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to define the strategic direction and integration plans for the acquired firms.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the acquired firms' management teams, ensuring alignment with the overall organisational goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the financial performance of the acquired firms, monitoring key metrics and implementing necessary measures to drive profitability and efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the acquired firms.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact the acquired firms' operations.
  • Act as a mentor and coach to the acquired firms' management teams, supporting their professional development and growth.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in the accountancy industry, preferably at a Director or Partner level.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective succession plans.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Results-oriented mind-set with a focus on driving growth and profitability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • ACA or ACCA qualification.
  • Proven track record in successfully managing M&A transactions and integrating acquired firms is desirable, but not necessary.
