Marks Sattin Executive Search is working with an established Multisite Retail business. Based in North West England. The business is actively seeking a high calibre CFO that will work with the CEO and the board, that will offer strategic insight , drive initiatives, and contribute to the business's ongoing growth.

The CFO will engage closely with board members and Senior Leadership teams, playing a central role in fostering commercial success. This multifaceted position entails establishing and enhancing the finance function's effectiveness, delivering targeted KPI reporting, and overseeing critical areas such as treasury management, working capital optimisation, and currency hedging strategies. Furthermore, the CFO will provide consistent and invaluable commercial, financial, and operational guidance at the board level.

Effective communication and leadership are crucial, as the CFO will disseminate financial information across all business functions, build strong relationships, manage external advisory partners, and eventually assume leadership of a dynamic finance team.

The ideal Candidate

  • A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA)
  • Proven track record as a CFO in a corporate setting, poised for their first move into a PE-Backed Business, or an ambitious Financial Controller/FP&A professional aiming to step up into an autonomous CFO role
  • Experience in the multi-site ,retail, logistics, hospitality, consumer facing and/ or related sectors with a strong understanding of stock
  • A proactive self-starter that is results-oriented, and skilled in articulating ideas and concepts effectively.
  • In-depth commercial awareness, showcasing a track record of driving performance
  • Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders.
