Start your job searchA leading PE Backed hospitality business is currently looking for a Financial Controller to join it's growing business.
This position will directly report into the CFO and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. You will be working closely with senior management and operational teams to ensure the company's financial health and support our ambitious growth plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, providing insights and recommendations to drive business performance.
- Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and optimize the capital structure to support the company's growth objectives.
- Ensure robust financial controls are in place, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices across the finance function.
- Partner with the private equity firm to provide regular financial updates, analysis, and strategic insights to support decision-making.
- Manage the audit process, liaising with external auditors, and ensuring timely completion of statutory audits.
- Provide leadership and development to the finance team (5 people), fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Support growth activities including new sites both in the UK and abroad.
You will be a qualified accountant with prior experience leading a team ideally within a multi-site environment. Furthermore, you must have experience working in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment. Strong technical accounting skills with a deep understanding of UK GAAP/IFRS is essential along with excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
