Marks Sattin are delighted to be working with a US listed business who are looking to recruit a Financial Controller into their Leeds office.

Responsibilities will include:

• Ownership of monthly management accounts prepared under U.S. GAAP
• Maintain a reconciliation or bridge between results reported under U.S. GAAP and the local GAAP equivalent
• Full responsibility for the month end close process
• Review and submission of Corporate Accounting monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and Corporate Tax packages
• Journal entry review expected during month end close, on complex and sensitive areas, and for high value journals, in line with U.S. policies
• Working closely with the FP&A Team to understand P&L drivers and movements in the month
• Review of key Balance Sheet reconciliations to U.S. deadlines (WD15), including the support and training other staff when needed
• Liaising with U.S. Corporate team on all Accounting questions
• VAT and Corporate Tax responsibilities
• Full responsibility for SOX processes across the teams and liaise with internal audit on auditing timetables
• Ownership of preparation of financial statements in accordance with local GAAP's

This opportunity is ideally suited to an ACA qualified (or equivalent) Financial Controller with strong technical skills and IFRS experience. US GAAP and SOX experience would be highly advantageous.
