Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Financial Planning Analyst to join our client's team in the rail industry. This role is crucial for producing management accounts, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and business plans. The successful candidate will work closely with budget heads and decision-makers to support informed decision-making and drive profitability.

Job Title: Financial Planning Analyst

Location: Central London (2 days per week in the office)

Contract: 6 Month Contract - £60k - Immediate Start

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce management accounts, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and business plans.
  • Collaborate with budget heads and decision-makers to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Present forecasts and month-end numbers to senior stakeholders.
  • Attend bi-weekly meetings with the Customer Experience Director and Head of Stations, explaining variances and providing insights.
  • Support financial control, strategic decision-making, and profitability through accurate and timely information.

Skills and Competencies:

  • ACA/CA or fully qualified accounting qualifications.
  • Proven experience in costing, business partnering, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience in a similar-sized business, particularly in transitions, staff costs, and operational expenditure analysis.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting packages.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
