Our client is a leading Global provider of Fund consultancy services who are expanding and are looking to recruit a number of financial accountants. This a newly created department and there is a blank canvass regarding career progression.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all established financial reporting procedures and controls are updated at least on an annual basis, reviewed and followed accurately by the team.
  • Reviewing financial statements both UCITS and AIFMD regulated
  • Supervise staff on systems, procedures and job responsibilities
  • Train, coach and mentor new employees, develop and motivate staff within their sub-unit
  • Serve as main client operational contact for assigned clients during annual and interim financial reporting and audit periods.
  • Responding to queries and information requests from clients and/or auditors within defined deadlines.
  • VAT compliance
  • Production of monthly or quarterly accounts for fund management companies;
  • Undertaking ad hoc duties in respect of the governance and compliance of investment funds with the relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • Accounting/Finance qualification.
  • Extensive financial reporting preparation experience.
  • 3+ years' cumulative experience with investment/funds companies,
  • Experience in supervisory / management skills and/or coaching / mentoring.
  • Fluency in English Language (both verbal and written) essential.
  • Individual who takes initiative and ownership of assigned responsibilities.
  • Positive 'can do' attitude with excellent problem solving skills.
