Start your job searchThe chance to join one of the best names globally in Private Equity and alternative investments as a Fund Controller. Working as part of a friendly cohesive team, you will get the chance to manage a high profile buyout fund and take ownership of the broad financial and commercial work across the fund as well as working across the private equity team to improve the business.
The breath of the role includes the following work:
- Oversight of the fund administrators to ensure all financial reporting and fund accounting is delivered.
- Valuations - detailed involvement with the valuations of investments; working with the deal team to ensure fair valuation, right through to preparing the pack for the valuation committee and working with IR on communication to investors.
- Deal execution and exits - working with deal teams, lawyers and tax teams on structuring and execution of transactions.
- Managing FX and hedging policies - potentially helping to optimise fund returns.
- Lots of opportunity to explore data analysis.
This role really a qualified accountant (or equivalent) with an understanding of private equity funds; this could come from practice or big4 or an in-house fund accounting role.
Example profiles might include:
- A Manager from the big4 with PE audit clients.
- An ACA with 2-5 years experience in-house looking for somewhere to grow and pave the wave for a senior role.
- Someone from an administrator who feels they are ready to take on the broad in-house role.
The role will suit someone who wants to work in a high regarded investment firm, with a professional, corporate feel however with a really friendly, cohesive team who enjoy the work and working together.
