Reporting into the Chief Finance Officer, this represents a great opportunity for a confident finance professional to join an exciting and fast moving, acquisitive business in a rapidly evolving role.
This is a pivotal senior role within the finance team, with plenty of opportunity for future progression, and the opportunity to be deeply engaged with a private equity partner. This role will work alongside Financial Planning & Analysis and Transactional Services to lead finance work across the Group, including supporting the CFO, CEO and Private Equity Investor in any transactional activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strong support to the Chief Financial Officer
- Lead the finance team to ensure the delivery of high quality and timely financial reporting and management information
- Responsible for all finance and accounting aspects of the business, in terms of transactional processing, reporting, compliance and internal controls
- Production of consolidated results, financial position and cash flow statement for a complex and acquisitive international group
- Production of monthly management accounts and period end close reporting feeding into critical Board analysis
- Responsible for all aspects of cashflow, treasury management and forecasting
- Full responsibility for the annual audit process, statutory accounting and corporation tax compliance across the Group including international operations
- Responsible for all other fiscal aspects such as VAT and PAYE/NI and liaison with advisors for overseas subsidiaries for all local compliance matters
- Work closely and collaboratively with systems teams, sales, and operations to maximise efficiency of the systems and ensure maximum automations
- Drive continual improvement in processes and ways of working within finance and across the business
- Support Financial Planning and Analysis team in execution of forecasts and budget processes
Key Skills & Experience:
- A fully qualified accountant (preferably ACA) with significant post-qualification industry experience
- Technically proficient at group consolidations as well as ensuring total integrity of individual entity positions
- Ability to implement and maintain a strong financial control environment
- An approachable communicator with gravitas that will confidently interact with the Senior Leadership Team, Private Equity Investors and other external parties
- Highly analytical, inquisitive, and perceptive approach, with strong attention to detail
- Drive, determination and resilience and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadline
- A pragmatic nature with the ability to work independently with good networking and communication skills within the matrix organisation
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and possess the ability to influence others for a positive business impact
- Experienced team manager with an ability to coach & develop teams
- Private Equity experience that has taken a business through a sales process
