Medium sized global Insurance firm seeks a driven and commercially savvy Group FP&A Manager for a pivotal senior appointment. The company are a growing international presence currently entering into a new period of growth and expansion. They urgently need to hire an experienced FP&A Manager capable of setting up and putting in place a value adding Group MI function covering the following:
- Set up and development of a robust and full suite Group FP&A function including management of a small team of analysts.
- Develop the annual planning cycle for the Exco management team and the Board; developing presentation and reporting of business financial performance and projections.
- Developing Monthly and Quarterly Exco and board reporting including commentary and ad hoc investigation ( including plan v actual comparison of results).
- Providing clear commercial insight and questioning, scenario modelling and root cause analysis.
- Managing Group stakeholders in financial issues including Chairman, CEO, Exco management team, CFO and Board reporting.
- Delivering ad hoc reviews and supporting key business initiatives.
In terms of background, we're looking for candidates who are likely ACA/CA or ACMA qualified or equivalent with relevant experience in Group level or similar finance. A background in Insurance would be helpful but we'd also consider people from the wider Financial Services Sector. You'll need to display finely tuned analytical skills with the ability to get beyond the numbers and understand key business and performance drivers. A key requirement of the role is the ability to setup and put in place best practice with similar experience a huge advantage.
