Head of Finance

Marks Sattin are delighted to be working with a Leading Sports and Leisure Company, to assist with their search in finding a Head of Finance, based in Dartford.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the annual year end audit and preparation of group consolidated statutory accounts.
• Lead the finance function to ensure alignment and relevance to the company's financial and strategic objectives.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly financial forecasting process.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts including consolidated management reporting, variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, business KPIs and commentary to senior management.
• Weekly cash flow monitoring and reporting.
• Provide business partner support and financial training to over 60 business units to ensure that they achieve their full potential and adhere to the company financial processes and procedures.
• Provide effective decision support to Management in relation to investment and all other commercial matters and post-implementation evaluation.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls to ensure robust financial management in accordance with IMS (Information Management System)
• Supervise and manage Finance team including the development and mentoring of the team.
• Undertake projects or ad-hoc work as requested by the Director of Finance.

Experience/Skills and qualifications:

• University honours degree.
• Accounting qualification (CIMA, ACA or ACCA).
• Responsibility for year-end statutory accounts preparation (min. 3 years PQE).
• Liaison and management of external audit.
• Minimum 3 years Finance Management in +£60m turnover business.
• Multi-site business exposure
• Project management in relation to construction and IT projects.
