Head of Product Control - EMEA

A superb opportunity has arisen for a proven Product Controller to assume the Head of Product Control (EMEA) position for a leading Global Investment Bank. This pivotal position will play an instrumental part in shaping and leading the Product Control function across a large and varied product set. With a considerable volume of project work scheduled and new products being constantly being added to the portfolio, this is undeniably one of the most envious positions within the market.

Daily responsibilities will include;

  • Review daily P&L explain/attribution analysis and reporting
  • Review daily commentary of P&L drivers for senior management
  • Ensure that all transactions are correctly reconciled on a daily basis
  • Report daily against the approved control limits for each book
  • Provide information for Treasury to manage liquidity effectively and efficiently
  • Manage the development/enhancements of the MI tools to improve data
  • Resolve daily independent price testing tolerance breaks with Front Office/Mid Office

As the business explores new geographical markets, you will play an integral part in establishing corporate presence and you must be comfortable in change management. The perfect candidate must be a strong product controller (Ideally a Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA equivalent), with a well-rounded skillset. Within the position, you will be exposed to a multitude of asset classes so you must have demonstrable experience in cross product skills. Candidates with a knowledge of derivative products and a working knowledge around valuation of FX products (including FX options) and the Greeks will be highly preferred.
