Position: Head of Tax

Company Profile:

This spectacular investment manager was a result of joint venture between one of the largest global banks and a leading climate change investment manager. They are backed by huge liquidity and resources to expedite their funds growth.

They are in the first bout of investments with global strategies, and tax structuring for real assets is their biggest area! This position will be the first hire of Tax and the indvidual chosen will have autonomy to own the processes accross the firm with all issues regarding Tax.

Role:

• Agriculture and forestry transactions structuring (real assets) - separately, limited but some tax management around Carbon projects
• Investment structure modelling and operation
• Investment papering
• Transfer pricing, particular around shareholder debt
• Income remittance leakage
• WHT application
• VAT schemes
• Carbon credit recognition discussion with the Luxembourg authorities
• VAT application and recharges across their investment structures
• Operational VAT in their operating entities
• Future fund and investment vehicle development and setup (supporting LP negotiations and fund structuring)
• OpCo tax management look at and managing Corp Tax year end processes for Operating Vehicles
• Carried interest scheme implementations (they have 3 launching in the next 12 months)
• Special projects

Requirements:

• CTA/CIOT qualified (or equivalent)
• 2-3 years PQE minimum
• Previous experience in an investment manager of any kind is extremely desired but not a requirement
• Candidates from accounting/tax practice at a Manager or Sn Manager level will also be considered for this role
