Head of Transactional Services - London
Seeking a Head of Transactional for a 3-month contract within a private healthcare company based in the outskirts of London. This role is critical in maintaining strong cash flow, reducing aged debt, and ensuring best practices across all transactional finance operations. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, and Operational teams to drive efficiency, improve processes, and support the financial health of the organisation. Requiring a candidate to oversee end to end billing process and develop and implement credit control policies and procedures to optimise cash collection and minimise bad debt.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Credit Control and Sales Ledger teams, ensuring high performance and accountability.
- Oversee the end-to-end billing process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing to funders, commissioners, and private payers.
- Develop and implement credit control policies and procedures to optimise cash collection and minimise bad debt.
- Monitor and manage aged debt, proactively resolving issues and escalating concerns where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, contractual obligations, and internal policies.
- Work closely with operational and commercial teams to resolve billing disputes and streamline processes.
- Regular reporting and analysis on debt position, cash flow, and key performance indicators to senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging technology and automation to enhance efficiency in transactional finance processes.
- Develop and mentor the transactional finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Accountabilities:
- Complete sales to cash process management
- Cash flow forecast management
- Reconciliations: statement reconciliations, remittances to bank statements, invoices raised
- Process improvement: streamline process and enhance control environments
- Compliance and risk management: identify and mitigate financial risks associated with transactional activities
- Provide accurate and insightful financial reports to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
