Marks Sattin are excited to be working with an organisation in the Educational sector. My client is looking for an Income Accountant to join their team on an interim basis of 3-6 months.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee income recognition (invoices, claims, grant allocation, and receipts).
- Provide timely accounting services through Sales Ledger and Credit Control.
- Support the Financial Controller and Finance team.
- Maximize income through grant research and preparation.
- Maintain accurate Sales Ledgers and manage customer account data.
- Ensure proper internal controls and coding of sales invoices.
- Issue reminders, chase overdue debts, and resolve disputes.
- Handle monthly closure and reconciliation of Sales Ledgers.
- Act as Credit Controller, minimising debt write-offs.
- Prepare financial reports and manage filing/archiving.
- Improve sales ledger function efficiency.
- Manage income budget and forecasting.
Requirements:
- Part Qualified Accountant or Accountant Qualified by Experience
- Meet strict reporting deadlines with excellent time-management and organisational skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Very good oral and written communication skills.
- Operates with very high levels of integrity.
