Interim FD (Financial Services) - initial 6 month contract

A prominent investment advisory company based in London are currently looking for an Interim Finance Director to join their business at short notice.

This is a well-established SME firm, with a global footprint operating in Asia, Europe and US and as such this role requires a strong accountant with experience of dealing with financial and regulatory capital reporting as well as tax compliance across these international jurisdictions.

Salary for this role is in the range £140,000 -160,000 + benefits.

The role will report directly to the CEO, and support the board and senior leadership team in delivering the group strategy. You will lead a small finance team, maintain external relationships with third parties and auditors, provide important commercial and financial insights to the leadership team and be fully responsible for all financial matters within the business.

Key responsibilities of the finance department will include:

  • Preparing Financial Statements in multi GAAP and multi-currency (Asia, UK, Europe, US)
  • Regulatory capital reporting (Asia, UK, Europe, US)
  • Corporate tax compliance (Asia, UK, Europe, US)
  • Detailed budgeting & forecasting and provision of ad hoc financial analytics
  • Maintaining the GL and provision of management accounting
  • Treasury - cash management & financing strategy, banking relationships
  • Review of corporate structures
  • Developing accounting systems & processes

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, ACMA etc.)
  • Have worked within financial services for the last 10+ years, with experience of working in a smaller SME environment
  • Have direct experience of financial & regulatory capital reporting across multi-jurisdictions and be prepared to roll your sleeves up to deliver the reporting (rather than just directing)
  • Be a strong leader and have the gravitas to communicate effectively with the CEO & Board and be personable and able to develop relationships at all levels
  • Be immediately available / available at very short notice
