Start your job searchMarks Sattin are working in partnership with an exciting start-up organisation with significant funding and investment from a variety of celebrity and other public figures as well as a number of high net-worth individuals. My client are seeking an Interim Finance Director with experience supporting fundraising and investment strategies. The assignment will be for 6 months with the opportunity of becoming permanent.
The Interim Finance Director will support the CEO and other Board Members to provide financial planning and reporting to ensure key decisions can be made. You will also support the Board of Directors in developing and managing financial relationships to enable the Group's growth ambitions including raising equity, securing debt financing, and liaising with investors.
Key Responsibilities of the Interim Finance Director:
- Develop policies and procedures to ensure the sound financial management and control of the company's operations
- Advising the Board of Directors, CEO and senior leadership team on all matters relating to financial performance and provide guidance on financial strategy and growth plans
- Implementing robust financial systems and developing policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the company
- Leading and managing the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning process
- Controlling all financial and accounting matters including month end reports, management accounts, cash flow management, statutory accounts and the presentation of management information and KPIs
- Ensuring legal and regulatory documentation is filed, and monitoring internal controls and compliance with laws and regulations (VAT returns, Corporation Tax returns, Statutory report and accounts, Office of National Statistics and Companies House)
- Evaluating the financial potential, ROI and risk of capital projects, programs and investments
- Managing the company's liquidity, ensuring appropriate access to cash and sources of credit in conjunction with the CEO and Board of Directors
To be considered you must:
- Have a recognised Accountancy qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
- Have significant experience in financial leadership within industry
- Have experience in supporting organisations through significant growth
- Have experience supporting fundraising strategies and liaising with investors
- Be available at short notice
