Marks Sattin are working in partnership with a reputable 'Business Services' organisation in Nottingham to recruit an Interim Financial Controller on a 6 month contract basis.

My client have had a phenomenal year to date and have now also been awarded three new major contracts, which will significantly add to the organisations revenue. The organisation have had some fantastic milestones and the newly awarded contracts have led to an exciting recruitment drive.


Responsibilities of the Financial Controller:

  • Manage the accounts department associated with the newly won contracts
  • Review internal controls, and where necessary design and implement new controls that are appropriate for the company during its period of growth
  • Implement appropriate accounting functions that support the rapid growth of the company
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Support the year end and coordinate audit processes
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support the Group Finance Director by providing commercial analysis and insight, and highlighting any potential risks and opportunities

To be considered you must:

  • Be a Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Must have experience in a similar role, and be able to 'hit the ground running'
  • Have a process improvement mindset
  • (Ideally) have worked in a contract-led environment
  • Be a well versed accountant with statutory reporting and management accounting experience
  • Be able to start at short notice
