Marks Sattin is working in partnership with an industry leading organisation in Central Birmingham to recruit an Interim Project Accountant - Fixed Assets on a 2-3 month interim assignment. The role will be a hybrid working role, with 2-3 days in the offices.

My client is looking for an individual with experience in Fixed Asset Accounting to support a major reconciliation project following an Oracle Fusion implementation. The Fixed Asset Specialist will manage the fixed asset register in Excel, ensuring the accurate recording, reconciliation, and adjustments of physical assets to the ledger. You will also support the Finance Transformation Manager in enhancing the Fixed Asset Register process in Oracle Fusion.


Key Responsibilities of the Interim Project Accountant - Fixed Assets will include:

  • Conducting a comprehensive reconciliation of physical assets to the ledger.
  • Analysing discrepancies and calculate necessary adjustments.
  • Maintaining accurate fixed asset records, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to improve fixed asset tracking and reporting.
  • Providing insights and recommendations to optimise asset management.


The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA Qualified
  • Be proven, with experience in fixed asset accounting, including reconciliation
  • Have strong knowledge of financial reporting & asset management principles
  • Be a proficient Microsoft Excel user
  • Ideally have experience with Oracle (desirable but not essential)
  • Be able to work both independently and within a project-focused team
  • Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Be within a commutable distance of Birmingham as the role will require 2-3 days per week in office
