Job Title: Interim Group Financial Controller
Location: Birmingham
Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days remote)
Start date: An immediate start is available

Day Rate: £600 - £700 per day (Inside IR35)

Marks Sattin are working in partnership with a reputable Business Services organisation in the Midlands to recruit an Interim Group Financial Controller on a 9 -12 month contract basis. My client is a large corporate with a fantastic reputation in their market. This is a hybrid role which will require a minimum of 3 days in the office, therefore applicants must be able to commute. A quick start is available for the right person.

Managing 3 direct report reports, the Interim Group Financial Controller will report to the CFO and will take ownership of the financial reporting for the group. You will have sound technical accounting knowkedge with proven experience within a financial a financial controlling and reporting role.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Taking full ownership of consolidation and statutory reporting across the group within set timescales
• Maintaining existing financial controls and governance and enhancing processes where necessary
• Developing overhead budgets and forecasts, and liaising with the Exec Board and Head Office department budget holders.
• Leading 3 direct reports (a total team of 10-15 people)
• Taking ownership of the group tax strategy, and managing treasury and cash management
• Liaising with the external auditors and signing off on the internal audit strategy
• Supporting the CFO with strategic projects and investment decision-making.

To be considered, you will:

• Be a Qualified Accountant - (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Have 8+ years post qualification experience
• Have proven experience in a similar role
• Have strong technical accounting knowledge, with sound statutory reporting and consolidation experience
• Be experienced liaising with external auditors and managing schedules
• Be proven maintaining and enhancing controls
• Have a track record of delivering robust control environments
• Be a strong leader with excellent interpersonal skills
• Be able to commute to the offices 3 days per week
