IT Business Analyst - £55k to £60k

A global business is looking to hire an IT Business Analyst to join its growing project team based at its prestigious offices in West London. The main remit of the role will be to assist in the delivery of a number of large transformation programmes to time and budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with business stakeholders to elicit business requirements using a wide variety of methods such as interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops and workflow analysis.
  • Provide business analysis and process mapping support to business leads and process owners to challenge the way they work, deliver improvements and implement changes in their areas and across teams
  • Facilitate process development workshops with SMEs, drive agreement of process flows across functional areas and document processes and activity work flows/develop clear and detailed process maps.
  • Document 'as is' and 'to be' processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the 'to be' capability.
  • Working effectively with a team that comprises of people from various parts of the organisation, many of whom have other responsibilities and tasks and often work under considerable pressure;
  • Provide input into the design and analysis of operating and business models and business change impact assessments and translating business operations and objectives into requirements/design documentation;
  • Liaise with business users and stakeholders to fully understand both business and system implications of the operating model and business design, in the context of the objectives for both the specific area and the wider change agenda;
  • Lead approach to system, process and information ownership and proactively seek to understand organization's direction, structure and strategy
  • Conduct feasibility studies, from a technological and organizational perspective, and document findings, complete cost-benefit analysis on implementing changes to business processes, products or business unit structure
  • Contribute to developing business cases to quantify current costs to serve; investment in project; and return on investment

Skills Required

  • Technology related degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst working on large IT focussed transformation programmes of varying sizes
  • Track record of handling analysis and documentation of business capabilities and processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with business and technology colleagues.
