Pan-UK organisation is currently looking to hire an IT Network Engineer to be based at its prestigious offices in Luton.
The main remit of the role is to be responsible for the security, capacity, and availability of data centre and corporate IT infrastructure such as network switches and routers, as well as core services such as internet access, remote access, and telephony.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that infrastructure and core services are available during agreed operating hours
- Make sure that network configuration is backed up and can be recovered, even in a disaster
- Engage with our support partners to ensure the delivery of our networks, firewall and telephony solutions
- Proactive monitoring of infrastructure and core services
- Producing performance, availability and capacity reports for IT infrastructure and core services
- Continuous service improvement
- Input into the design and development of IT infrastructure platforms that fulfil the needs of the business
Experience & Qualifications
- IT vendor certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, MCSE/MCP
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related experience
- Proven experience in a similar Network Infrastructure role
- Successful record of supporting and managing IT infrastructure technologies
- Demonstrable understanding of the ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change processes
- Administration and configuration of CISCO network equipment
- Working knowledge of network tuning and capacity planning in an enterprise environment. ITIL foundation certification or above
