Internationally renowned Oil and Gas client based in central London is currently recruiting for a Joint Venture Accountant to support the producing assets. The business is very aggressive in their approach to develop and explore over the next 2 years. They have a high success rate in bidding for new licences and are looking to become a major player. The role will have elements of month end close working closely on intercompany, accruals and Time Writing. Following on from this, the role will work closely with Finance and non finance individuals to provide accurate and timely JV information for the management reporting purposes. This will involve improving and documenting the information flow between the JV Accountants and the cost engineers to ensure more meaningful value of work done numbers. You will need to ensure that all finance aspects of the assets are administered in line with the JOAs. Experience on systems (especially SAP) will be very useful du to the on going process improvement around the reporting processes and working on improving the current templates.
The successful candidate will need to have experience in upstream Oil and Gas or come from a Management Accounting / JV Accounting background. The successful candidate should be ACA, ACCA or ACMA qualified and be proactive in a working environment.
