Unique opportunity to join this leading financial services firm as they continue their growth though acquisition.
With an exceptional leadership team in place and a growth journey that will continue to create internal opportunities for their talented team this is an M&A Director role with a difference as you will drive deal activity for the firm both domestically and internationally.
The Day-to-Day elements.
- Build out the M&A strategy through assessing and identifying key targets within each of the following key focus areas: (i) Commercial lines broking consolidation, (ii) High growth market / product / value chain opportunities, (iii) Insurtech opportunities. In doing so collaborate with senior leaders across the firm to think about opportunities in a progressive, systematic and routine fashion.
- Manage the engagement and deal/investment relationships with corporate finance and investment banking firms.
- Partner with business leaders before, during and after the M&A processes, to ensure the deals make strategic and financial sense, fit with the forward-looking business plans, and are integrated smoothly and fully optimized.
- For investment / acquisition activities, serve as the primary interface with regional /business unit management teams and the point of coordination for all M&A activities with these divisions.
- Build relationships with each business unit to keep an ongoing flow of opportunities that is aligned with firms objectives.
- Establish and lead a robust and comprehensive pipeline process to identify, evaluate, prioritise and manage execution of potential opportunities. This will include a rigorous idea generation and screening process that will deliver rapid execution of quality acquisition and investment ideas.
- Play a key role in all M&A activities and provide general transaction and analytic support to business unit management teams including the creation of summaries and presentation materials to communicate recommendations to senior management and other internal stakeholders.
- Manage key deliverables including creating analyses, overseeing timely delivery of Heads of Terms, and project management of due diligence, legal documentation and investment approval processes.
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing acquisition business case analyses and executing and interfacing with finance, accounting, legal, tax, risk & compliance, HR and IT departments to ensure seamless deal execution.
The successful candidate will have gained at least 10 years Corporate Finance/M&A and or Transaction Services exposure and will demonstrate an ability to originate as well as execute at a high level. Your acedemic results will also complimenent your experience and ideally some exposure to Financial Services would be an advantage.
