Our client, a well established, successful group of companies based in lovely offices in central Manchester (close to Piccadilly Station), are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their team.

Your role will include:

  • Supporting in the preparation of Management accounts for all entities (working day 5) - including Profit & loss, Cashflow and balance sheet reporting.
  • Playing a key role in influencing commercial decision-making and strategy for two business units including board pack reporting.
  • Taking responsibility for all intercompany recharges ensuring that all costs are recorded and accounted for in the correct entity
  • Preparing monthly journals, accruals, prepayments, deferred income, accrued income, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Coordinating financial reporting for business services with the aim of monitoring and improving the financial performance of these services against their business plans.
  • Supporting senior management team across two business areas to drive commercial performance.
  • Supporting the Financial Controller in managing the budget setting, forecasting, and reporting requirements for the main co and subsidiaries
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
  • Assist with Year End Audit supporting the external Auditors
  • Develop management information and KPIs
  • Ensure that financial controls are in place, maintained and developed.
  • Contribute to improving current processes and systems
  • Support the Financial Controller and ELT/SMT with any ad hoc reporting

Ideally with professional services or experience in a related sector, you wil ideally have experience of producing end to end management accounts, and be qualified in or studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification.
