Job description
Key responsibilities include:
- Month-end activities:
- Perform accounting processes across the organisation
- Prepare journal entities
- Prepare analysis and provide insight into areas of focus
- Working within internal reporting deadlines
- Making recommendation to improve and simplify processes
- Liaise with Senior Stakeholders and influence decision making across the organisation
- Control:
- Implements an effective internal control framework
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, highlighting and resolving any issues
- Ensuring compliance with SOx and other regulatory requirements
- Liaising with auditors and providing evidence and supporting narrative as required
- Process Improvement and Automation
- Ensures work is performed efficiently
- Identified opportunities to improve & simplifies processes
- Works collaboratively to standardise processes
- Works with automation teams to automate processes
The successful applicant
- Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc.)
- Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS (Desirable)
- Experience of working within large corporate structures.
- Strong excel and financial systems skills (eg. Oracle, Hyperion/HFM)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to coach and develop others
- Experience of working in a complex environment, delivering to deadlines
