Marks Sattin are excited to announce our partnership with a growing Financial Services business, who are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic mortgage specialist to join their team as a product manager.
Purpose
This main function of this role is to support the business and the Head of Product Development in the development and roll out of new products, the on-boarding of new clients, changes to product criteria and supporting marketing materials and to support the strategic vision of the business as a provider of mortgages across multiple segments of the market. This role will be required to monitor our proposition(s) competitive position in the market in terms of pricing and criteria on an ongoing basis and against a range of defined lenders and recommend criteria and pricing changes to the Head of Products.
Job Role Accountabilities
- To lead the relationships with the sourcing and criteria systems and develop external relationships with them as necessary to support the product function.
- Develop and maintain an analysis of market competitors for rates and criteria. Work with Marketing to scope and develop changes to marketing material and the website where appropriate around product proposition, and the related rates and criteria.
- To assist in and occasionally lead the development of new product marketing material that is both broker and consumer facing on the website
- Assist and lead in the launch and withdrawal of new product propositions. To assist and on occasion lead the launch and withdrawal of new and existing products internally and externally ensuring all parties have the relevant information in a timely manner and appropriate sign-offs and authority to proceed are received.
- To assist in and occasionally lead the pricing of new products
- To develop a close working relationship with sales, IT and operations to determine, broker requirements and our internal capability with regards to processing and the development and roll out of new propositions.
- To assist, where required, in the on-boarding of new lender relationships
- To assist in and where required, lead the monthly management meeting with external lender clients, helping to prepare monthly information packs.
Examples of Key Activities
- Update sourcing systems with product and criteria information
- Co-ordinate with marketing to update website and marketing material
- Liaise with sales and operations to understand volumes, capacity issues, broker concerns and methods to resolve
- Updating of marketing material on the website prior to product launch
running competitor analysis to understand where we price and position in the market
- Research competitor activity and report on appropriate changes and recommendations to our product range
- Produce monthly information packs on the key metrics with our lending partners
