Start your job searchWe are working with a leading London based natural resources business who has an opportunity for a Senior Performance Analyst to join their FP&A team.
Reporting into the FP&A Manager within Group Finance team in London, FP&A have responsibility for group forecasts, budgets, 5 year plan and monthly management accounts and analysis including cost and capex analysis. With a strong culture of continuous improvement and development, the team's deliverables are typically for the Board or external analysts.
The Role
- Analysis of group forecasts, budget and plans with appropriate sensitivity analysis and operational and group review.
- Preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and year-end management accounts and performance reporting and analysis for Executive management
- Review and liaison with assigned operations on forecasts, budgets and actual financial and operational results
- Organisation of quarterly forecast and plan presentation meetings with operations
- Ad hoc analysis, project work or research as required, for example as support for quarter end results to market or as part of change management, continual improvement or system development projects.
- Preparation of analyst slides for quarterly external market presentations.
Your Profile
- ACA or ACCA Qualified with some PQE working in planning and analysis, including performance reporting, management accounts and cost analysis.
- Ideally having previous experience in renewables or natural resources industries
- A confident communicator, with the ability to understand and explain commercial and operational issues and performance
- strong analytical and finance skills with experience in forecasting, budgeting, financial and sensitivity analysis
