Our client, one of the UK's leading full-service wealth management firms, who are Chartered Financial Planners and regulated by the FCA & SRA have advised us that they are looking to hire a Private Client Solicitor. This will be a hybrid role offering a real work life balance with standard business hours and early Friday finish!

The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Head of Private Client. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work in a buzzing environment that offers real growth opportunities, with the business looking to expand and grow their legal function.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Advising clients on their legal issues including Probate, Will drafting, Trust Administration and preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • Keeping up to date records, communications and documents relating to all cases on the technical CRM systems
  • Business development to ensure company targets are met along with maintaining current client relationships
  • Retaining deceased Clients' Funds Under Management (FUM) within the Advanced Investment Strategy
  • Working with the Financial Advisers Team and managing the technical aspects of financial planning meetings, especially legal recommendations for client presentations.

To be successful for this role you must:

  • Be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive in England & Wales
  • Possess relevant Private Client experience in Wills, Trusts, and Probate
  • Have experience within a client-facing legal role
  • Be up to date with all relevant legislation and keen to further develop your knowledge and experience
  • Be able to coordinate the collecting in or transferring out of Estate assets, paying all liabilities and Inheritance Tax and then distributing the net estate to the beneficiaries of the Will (or next of kin if there is no Will)
