One of the top international UK banks is looking for a qualified accountant with strong banking experience to work within valuation control.
The role will be based around the credit trading desk and responsibilities will include:
· Identify and develop daily production needs including Trading P&L and commentary
· Performing Independent Price Verification work & calculate Fair Value Adjustments
· To ensure that the Balance Sheets are appropriately valued with respect to current Accounting Standards
· To work with Business Financial Control to enhance the reconciliation related controls;
· To build relationships with key stakeholders including other Product Control Functions, IT, Operations, Front Office, Group Finance, Market Risk Management and Credit Risk Management.

This is a role that will mix a day to day product control with vlaution aspect, and the candidate need will be:
· Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or overseas equivalent)
· Familiarity with computer programming and financial modelling (ideally Excel/VB, SQL)
· Knowledge of Credit products
· Previous Experience within Product Control is a MUST Valuation experience is ideal
· Ability to pick up, challenge, contribute to, transfer and implement the team’s ideas quickly and effectively.
· Possess strong influencing, verbal and written communication skills
