Transformation Execution - Supply Chain and Operations, Life Sciences and Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) - Manager

Role and Requirements:

In order to continue to grow their successful TE business, my client is looking for experienced Managers in the areas of Supply Chain and Operations, Life Sciences and Fast Moving Consume Goods (FMCG) who are passionate about improving business end-to-end supply chains.

You will be responsible for managing the delivery of large scale, complex supply chain management and operations transformation projects, including design and implementation stages. In your role you will be working with client organisations in the manufacturing, life sciences areas to enhance their supply chain performance through digital technology. You will also work alongside the wider Supply Chain & Operations team within the company to expand the Supply Chain offering for clients in the Manufacturing, Life Sciences and FMCG sectors.

Client Responsibilities:

  • Delivering large scale operational excellence and continuous improvement projects across all levels of an organization, ensuring that all project deliverables are managed to time, cost and quality.
  • Ensuring that project plans, project logs (e.g. Risks, assumptions issues, dependencies logs) and project budgets are managed effectively.
  • Building valued relationships with clients and colleagues to assist in generating new business opportunities for the company .
  • Providing a supporting role in presentations and proposals for elements of medium to high complex projects to prospective and existing clients.
  • Demonstrating in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge in your functional area of Supply Chain Management or manufacturing operations.
  • Tactical and process oriented problem-solving. Quickly learning new processes to uncover new offerings that may assist our clients.
  • Building relationships with client personnel and delivering quality client services. Striving to assist our clients uncover additional areas of opportunity and managing the business development process.
  • Understand the company and its service lines and actively assessing what the firm can deliver to serve clients.
  • Lead and motivate teams of cross-functional experts of different levels.
  • Utilising digital technology to enhance end-to-end supply chain performance.

Internal Responsibilities

  • Assisting in client account management activities such as recruitment for the project team, managing financial aspects of client engagements, and quality and risk management.
  • Communicating effectively with senior management and working to build, manage and motivate high- performing teams.
  • Understanding all our service offerings and actively identifying opportunities to better serve clients.
  • Building strong internal relationships within Consulting and across other services lines.
  • Supporting team development activities, including:
  • Supporting, coaching, and mentoring activities;
  • Conducting performance reviews and contributing to performance feedback;
  • Contributing to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training activities;
  • Maintaining an educational programme to continually develop technical skills;
  • Understanding, following and communicating workplace policies and procedures

To do this role effectively, we are looking for people with knowledge and experience in the following areas:

  • Be degree qualified in supply chain, engineering, science, business management or other relevant discipline.
  • Approximately 5-10 years experience in supply chain and operations environments in the manufacturing, life sciences or FMCG sectors.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience of managing and delivering large-scale projects, programmes and transformations, including project planning and monitoring, resource management (including project finances), benefits realisation, etc.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with a track record in managing complex stakeholder programmes.
  • Hands-on mentality, ability and interest to work with all levels of the manufacturing organisation from production operations to senior management in manufacturing organisations.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams.
  • Ability to solve complex problems, present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong 3rd level educational qualifications.
  • Additional professional qualifications, such as PRINCE2® or PMP, are desirable.
  • Additional areas of interest include: process improvement, agile methodologies and business case development
