This role will own the development of a single Prudential Risk oversight plan and lead the Prudential Risk oversight team to deliver the planned activity. The oversight plan will cover Market Risk, Treasury Risk, Funding & Liquidity Risk, Capital Risk, Retail & Commercial Credit Risk and Strategic Risk.

The role requires effective stakeholder engagement with the subject matter experts across all three lines of defence (up to Chief Officer level) to ensure that oversight reviews are produced to a consistent standard in line with 2nd line Co-ordinated Risk Assurance Methodology and timelines.

  • Responsibility for leading the development, and on-going review, of a single Prudential Risk oversight plan. Accountable for ensuring that this is delivered within a robust and consistent framework.
  • Responsible for delivering the oversight reviews included on the Prudential Risk Oversight plan in line with agreed timescales and with full stakeholder engagement throughout the process.
  • Responsible for quality assurance of all Prudential Risk thematic reviews to ensure that reporting is articulated in a clear and concise manner and that the process followed is robust, auditable and complies with the Group wide assurance methodology.
  • Responsible for the management and development of the 7 direct reports within the Oversight team.
  • Responsible for managing the Oversight team resource to support changing priorities of Prudential Risk Business Partners. Responsible for highlighting and reporting to Group Risk Committee any deviation to the oversight plan with clear justification for any changes.
  • Accountable for the management of the action tracking process and monitoring of any remedial actions identified within oversight reviews to see through to completion and evidence closure validation.
  • Responsible for ensuring a robust process is designed and implemented to track and monitor Prudential Risk regulatory compliance.
  • Responsible for managing the co-ordination of the risk horizon scanning process to ensure emerging risks are identified, assessed, and tracked through to resolution/completion.
  • Maintain and review the prudential risk and control self-assessment process and control validation activity.

You will be rewarded with a salary of £100,000 - £110,000 + bonus and bens, with an office presence needed of twice a month. My client operates a flexible working policy giving you the freedom needed to have a great work/life balance.
