Purchasing and Payments Administrator, 12-month Fixed-Term Contract £26,000 per annum, Gloucester (on-site parking and hybrid)

We're looking for a detail-driven and proactive Purchasing & Payments Administrator to join a welcoming Finance team on a 12 month contract basis. Reporting to the Finance Office Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of invoices, purchase orders, and staff expenses.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for getting things right first time.

Key Responsibilities
Register and process incoming invoices daily, including scanning and coding
Ensure timely and compliant payment runs
Process staff expenses, floats, and cash advances in line with payment cycles
Maintain supplier records and ensure audit trails are up to date
Prepare and post purchase ledger journals accurately
Reconcile credit card accounts monthly, ensuring compliance
Flag any issues in the purchasing and payments cycle to the Finance Office Manager
Respond to supplier queries and manage the Purchase Ledger inbox efficiently
Support a collaborative team environment through knowledge sharing and cover

What we are Looking for
Experience in a finance or accounts payable role
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Confident communicator with internal teams and external suppliers
Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
Familiarity with financial systems and procedures
