R&D Consultant - Sheffield / Hybrid - £25,000 - £30,000 DOE with Great Benefits Package
Marks Sattin are collaborating with a global Insurance Consultancy who are looking to expand their specialist R&D tax advice team by brining in a new member. They are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable individual eager to learn and contribute. Making this a perfect opportunity for an individual who is looking for a role where they can grow and develop.
The Role:
This is a chance to join a strong team of Chartered Tax Advisers, Chartered Accountants, PhD scientists, technologists, engineers and ex-HMRC Inspectors.
Day to Day:
- Liaison with internal and external stakeholders including your own clients and HMRC.
- Support Senior Management.
- Attending client meetings which will include leading technical discussions and documenting the R&D undertaken. Which can also be done face to face.
- Documenting and analysing client expenditure.
- Preparing tax computations whilst advising clients on the most tax efficient way to utilise the tax reliefs being claimed.
- Providing detailed technical financial reports of client activity.
- Ad hoc requests
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working as part of a team in a fast-paced environments
- Experience working in professional services
- Outstanding written English skills and ability to write reports
- Strong numerical competence
- A Science or Engineering Degree (Nice to have)
