FTSE 100 Financial Services Group with a diverse range of businesses seeks the talents of a Senior Finance Manager for a broad and business facing role. The organisation have recently completed on a number of major acquisitions and are looking for a Qualified Accountant to take ownership for all legal entity reporting for a number of key businesses. They have a long standing offshore model with all basic accounting, inputting and number crunching based elsewhere. The London central finance team primarily focuses on high level review and owns all relationships with the business day to day including presentations to senior management. Finance is in excess of 50 people offering plenty of scope to gain promotion and further career advancement.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Oversight for a small team of Qualified Accountants who are responsible for delivering all monthly, quarterly and annual financial and management reporting for a number of legal entities
  • Act as a final review / troubleshooter with your role primarily focused on ensuring the team meets all reporting deadlines and deliverables
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement and robust controls, tweaking and upgrading as you see fit
  • Act as the subject matter expert on accounting matters, including share schemes accounting and legal entity restructuring activity. This will include management of key suppliers and stakeholders and preparation and review of technical board papers.
  • Support and contribute to creating a high performance culture including responsibility for the development of team members.

Your background is likely to be:

  • Qualified Accountant - ACA, CA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA or equivalent - with experience in a similar Finance Manager or Financial Controller role in the Financial Services sector
  • Relevant and up to date knowledge of IFRS
  • Superb planning and organisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build up relationships with stakeholders from all backgrounds across front, middle and back office
  • Approachable personality and comfortable working as part of a diverse and multicultural organisation
  • Previous experience of managing, developing, mentoring and coaching a small team.
