Position: Senior Financial Controller
Location: Esbjerg, Denmark (with regular visits to other sites)

About the Role:
We are recruiting for a Senior Financial Controller on behalf of our client, a global leader in the chemical and food sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the financial success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide timely, complete, accurate, and reliable financial reporting for allocated entities.
• Ensure regulatory compliance.
• Act as the point of contact for the Finance Business Partner.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Prepare planning figures based on top-down guidance.
• Be the contact person for internal and external audits, including statutory financial audits.
• Ensure agreed services from Financial Shared Services are delivered up to standard.
• Support management reporting, monthly reporting deck forecast/actuals, and cashflow + ROCE.
• Responsible for product costing, variance analyses, manufacturing performance, inventories, CAPEX, and first-line analyses and insights for actuals, forecast, and budget.
• Provide judgement-based content for Journal to the shared service center.
• Provide evidence for the Internal Control Framework and follow up on remediation plans.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting/financial controlling. Licensed certified public accountant is a plus.
• Over 5 years of work experience in accounting/controlling/audit.
• Knowledge and experience in a shared service environment.
• Local GAAP and IFRS knowledge, as well as local compliance.
• In-depth understanding of finance and accounting processes.
• SAP experience recommended.
• A team player with a continuous improvement mindset.
• An ambitious and talented team player who drives change within the organization.
• A self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and strong stakeholder management abilities.
• Willingness to travel between sites regularly.
• Fluent in Danish and English.
