Location: Esbjerg, Denmark (with regular visits to other sites)

About the Role:
We are recruiting for a Senior Financial Controller on behalf of our client, a global leader in the chemical and food sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the financial success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely, complete, accurate, and reliable financial reporting for allocated entities.
- Ensure regulatory compliance.
- Act as the point of contact for the Finance Business Partner.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Prepare planning figures based on top-down guidance.
- Be the contact person for internal and external audits, including statutory financial audits.
- Ensure agreed services from Financial Shared Services are delivered up to standard.
- Support management reporting, monthly reporting deck forecast/actuals, and cashflow + ROCE.
- Responsible for product costing, variance analyses, manufacturing performance, inventories, CAPEX, and first-line analyses and insights for actuals, forecast, and budget.
- Provide judgement-based content for Journal to the shared service center.
- Provide evidence for the Internal Control Framework and follow up on remediation plans.

What You Bring:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting/financial controlling. Licensed certified public accountant is a plus.
- Over 5 years of work experience in accounting/controlling/audit.
- Knowledge and experience in a shared service environment.
- Local GAAP and IFRS knowledge, as well as local compliance.
- In-depth understanding of finance and accounting processes.
- SAP experience recommended.
- A team player with a continuous improvement mindset.
- An ambitious and talented team player who drives change within the organization.
- A self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and strong stakeholder management abilities.
- Willingness to travel between sites regularly.
- Fluent in Danish and English.
