A retail company based in Central London is looking for a Senior Management Accountant on a temp to perm basis.

The role is hybrid - working in the office 3 days per week.

It will be a varied role with a mix of technical and commercial duties including:

* Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

* Conduct in-depth financial analysis, comparing actual results against budget and forecast, and provide variance analysis reports to the management team.

* Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, providing insightful input and recommendations.

* Collaborate with department heads and business managers to provide financial support and guidance, including financial modelling, cost analysis, and business case evaluations.

* Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide meaningful insights to drive performance improvements and inform decision-making.

* Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, investment appraisal, and scenario analysis.

* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards, keeping up to date with changes in legislation and providing guidance to the finance team as needed.

* Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and liaise with auditors during the annual audit process.

* Continuously improve financial processes and reporting systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and the overall effectiveness of financial operations.

* Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the finance team, fostering their professional development

The role will suit someone who has:

• Part-qualification with a recognised accounting qualification
• Solid experience in Management Accounting/ Financial Analysis roles
• The ability to business partner across various areas of a business
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Industry experience from either a retail or hospitality background
