I'm delighted to be working on a retained and exclusive basis with an American industrial technology conglomerate, Fortive Corporation, to recruit a Senior Tax Manager (EMEA) for their new standalone precision technology company, Ralliant. The role will be fully remote and can be based anywhere in the UK.

Reporting to the Director of Global Tax Planning & Operation, the Senior Tax Manager (EMEA) will be responsible for managing the Company's tax position in the EMEA region, focusing on global tax planning, statutory compliance, tax accounting for SEC purposes, and transfer pricing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Specialise in UK or German tax law, while leveraging external advisors for other countries to stay updated on relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Income Tax SEC Reporting: Support tax accounting for the region, including tax rate forecasts, tax provisions, and cash tax payments.
  • Statutory Compliance & Audit: Oversee timely completion of statutory accounts and income tax returns, review return-to-provision calculations for SEC reporting, and manage local income tax audits.
  • Transactional Taxes: Manage stamp duty, withholding tax, and VAT compliance for intercompany transactions.
  • Transfer Pricing: Ensure transfer pricing aligns with company policy and coordinate necessary adjustments with local finance, customs, and global tax teams.
  • Business Advisor: Build strong relationships with key contacts in operating companies across the region.
  • Collaboration: Foster effective collaboration with corporate finance, global trade, global tax, and local finance teams for tax-related matters.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Highly skilled user of MSFT Office Suite
  • Experience with tax software (e.g., CorpTax) and data-efficiency tools (e.g., Power BI Platform, Alteryx).
  • Expertise in either UK or German tax law, regulations, and relevant court cases for the Company.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills for reviewing financial computations related to tax and accounting.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex income tax concepts into tax planning with actionable strategies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of local accounting for income tax and basic understanding of ASC 740 (US Tax Accounting rules and guidance).
  • Strong communication skills with ability to interact with effectively with external advisors and finance teams throughout the organisation.
  • Results-oriented, technically-curious, and values effective collaboration.
  • Positive self-started with willingness to learn, understand the business, and readily adapt to a fast-changing business.
