Marks Sattin have been exclusively engaged by a Private Equity backed business in Cardiff to recruit a Year End Accountant on an interim basis for a 4-6 month contract. This role with support the Finance Director and CFO with completion and filing of year end accounts, leading the audit process and ad hoc areas to assist the finance function over the coming months.

The Year End Accountant role will be paying between £350-£450 per day through umbrella plus completion bonus! Minimum of 3 days in the office, ideally 4.

The Year End Accountant Role

This role would suit a Qualified Accountant either audit trained or with a number of year ends under their belt. Private equity experience advantageous but not essential.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of year-end for the auditors
• Manage and lead the end of year accounting process with oversight from the Finance Director
• Maintain accurate and complete accounting records.
• Prepare financial reports and statements.
• Liaise with various departments to obtain information and provide this to external accountants.
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required.

Key Skills and Experience

• ACCA/ACA qualified
• Ability to work in a fast paced, growth environment
• Audit trained preference
