Start your job searchA contract is available for an Accounts Payable Clerk for an intial 5 months with a permenant role available afterwards for the right candidate.
The role is part time 4 days per week - Up to £35K pro rata (£30K)
The role is 3 days per week in the office and 1 at home.
You must be on no more than a week's notice to be considered for this role.
The Accounts Payable Clerk will:
- assemble, review and verify invoices and check requests
- flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices
- sort, code and match invoices
- set invoices up for payment
- enter and upload invoices into system
- track expenses and process expense reports
- set up electronic transfers and payments
- prepare and perform check runs
- post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
- reconcile accounts payable transactions
- prepare and review supplier accounts
- monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- maintain and update vendor files
- correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
- produce monthly reports
- assist with month end closing
- provide supporting documentation for audits
- maintain accurate historical records
- maintain confidentiality of organizational information
- adhoc duties
Education and Experience
- knowledge of accounts payable
- knowledge of general accounting procedures and reconcilaitions
- knowledge of relevant accounting software (such as Sage, FreshBooks, QuickBooks)
- proficient in data entry and management
- 1-3 years accounts payable or general accounting experience
